Yelich isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta. Yelich will get a chance to rest Tuesday after going 1-for-4 with three strikeouts in Monday's series opener. His absence will open a spot in the lineup for Jake Bauers to serve as Milwaukee's DH and bat fourth.

Latest Brewers News
Christian Yelich : Taking seat Tuesday
Yelich isn't in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Atlanta. Yelich will get a chance to rest Tuesday after going 1-for-4 with three strikeouts in Monday's series opener. His absence will open a spot in the lineup for Jake Bauers to serve as Milwaukee's DH and bat fourth.
Easton McGee : Summoned to big leagues
The Brewers recalled Lucas from Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday. McGee tossed a scoreless inning last month in his lone appearance with the Brewers this season. He will provide manager Pat Murphy with a fresh bullpen arm.
Grant Anderson : Optioned to Triple-A
The Brewers optioned Anderson to Triple-A Nashville on Tuesday. Anderson threw 42 pitches and was tagged for three runs over 1.1 innings in Monday's loss to Atlanta. He's being replaced on the roster and in the bullpen by Easton McGee.
Nestor Cortes : Closing in on bullpen sessions
Brewers manager Pat Murphy said May 30 that Cortes (elbow) is doing well while playing catch off flat ground and could soon begin throwing bullpen sessions, MLB.com reports. After being diagnosed with a left elbow flexor strain and placed on the injured list April 6, Cortes was shut down for about a month before he was cleared to start playing catch. The Brewers have seemingly been pushing him through his throwing program slowly, as he still has yet to step back on a mound nearly a month after he started flat-ground tossing. The veteran southpaw will need to throw multiple bullpen sessions and live batting practice sessions before he's cleared to head out on a rehab assignment, so he shouldn't be expected to return from the injured list until around the All-Star break.
Aaron Civale : Unable to complete five frames
Civale (1-2) took the loss against Atlanta on Monday, allowing two runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five batters over 4.2 innings. Civale worked around frequent traffic to get through four scoreless frames, but he ran into trouble in the fifth. In that inning, Ronald Acuna tagged the right-hander for a solo home run, and Civale was pulled after allowing a two-out double to Austin Riley. Riley came around to score one batter later, saddling Civale with the loss. The veteran hurler did manage to tie a season high with five punchouts, and he's now given up two or fewer runs in all four of his starts since coming off the injured list May 22, though he's topped out at 5.1 frames during that span. Civale is tentatively slated to take on St. Louis in his next start.
Garrett Mitchell : Resumes baseball activities
Mitchell (oblique) resumed baseball activities at the Brewers' spring training complex last week, MLB.com reports. Mitchell's progress from a left oblique strain suffered in late April has been slow, but he's finally begun ramping things back up. Assistant general manager Matt Kleine said recently that it's possible Mitchell will be ready to return before the end of June, but a firm timetable for the outfielder's activation is unclear.
Freddy Peralta : Goes six scoreless in no-decision
Peralta didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Padres, allowing just one hit and two walks over six scoreless innings. He struck out three. It was an excellent outing from Peralta, who had allowed six runs over 11 innings in his previous two starts coming into Sunday. However, the Brewers failed to provide any run support in an eventual 1-0 defeat. Overall, Peralta is 5-4 this season with a 2.69 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 78:31 K:BB across 14 starts (77 innings). He's currently scheduled to face the Cardinals at home in his next outing.
Isaac Collins : Taking seat Sunday
Collins is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Padres. The switch-hitting Collins had started in each of the Brewers' previous three games against right-handed pitching, but he'll give way to Jake Bauers in left field while San Diego sends righty Ryan Bergert to the hill in the series finale. Collins has gotten off to a nice start to June, going 3-for-7 with a home run, six walks and four RBI in five games.
