Cut from big-league camp

The Padres reassigned Wall to minor-league camp Monday. Wall is expected to begin the season at Triple-A El Paso. The 29-year-old outfielder has seen big-league action in both of the past two seasons, slashing .311/.380/.422 over 50 regular-season plate appearances between stops with Atlanta and Miami.
Heads to San Diego on MiLB deal

The Padres signed Wall to a minor-league contract Jan. 16. Wall, 29, played 16 games at the big-league level between Atlanta and Miami in 2024, putting up a .564 OPS. The Padres don't have much outfield depth, but Wall is nonetheless likely to begin the 2025 season at Triple-A El Paso.
Remains in organization

The Orioles outrighted Wall to Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday, Jacob Calvin Meyer of The Baltimore Sun reports. Wall was claimed by the Orioles off waivers last week before being removed from their 40-man roster without having made an appearance for them. He has passed through waivers unclaimed this time around and will remain in Norfolk.
Dropped from 40-man roster

The Orioles designated Wall for assignment Sunday. Wall has now been DFA'd by three organizations this season, with Atlanta and Miami having already moved him off their 40-man rosters. If the 28-year-old goes unclaimed off waivers this time around, he'll likely stick around with Baltimore and continue playing regularly at Triple-A Norfolk. He's put together a .285/.382/.406 slash line along with six home runs and 16 stolen bases across three different Triple-A affiliates in 2024.
Claimed by Baltimore

The Orioles claimed Wall off waivers from the Marlins on Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Norfolk, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports. Wall will give the Orioles some outfield depth at Norfolk. The speedy 28-year-old has spent most of the 2024 campaign at the Triple-A level, producing a .776 OPS with five long balls and 16 steals.
Loses 40-man roster spot

The Marlins designated Wall for assignment Monday. Wall was moved off the Marlins' 40-man roster to clear room for right-hander Mike Baumann, whom the Marlins claimed off waivers from the Angels. A waiver claim himself back in July, Wall had a brief stint with the Marlins before he was optioned to Jacksonville on Aug. 3. The 28-year-old outfielder has produced an overall .282/.380/.396 slash line with five home runs and 16 stolen bases over 286 plate appearances at the Triple-A level between Jacksonville and Gwinnett this season.
Headed back to Jacksonville

The Marlins optioned Wall to Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday. Less than a week after coming up from the minors, Wall will now be sent back to Triple-A to make room for Cristian Pache, who was claimed off waivers from Baltimore on Friday. Wall was able to appear in three games for Miami during his latest MLB stint, going 1-for-3 with a stolen base.
Recalled from Jacksonville

The Marlins recalled Wall from Triple-A Jacksonville on Sunday. Wall will take the vacant spot on the 26-man roster that was left by Jazz Chisholm, who was traded to the Yankees on Saturday. Wall was claimed off waivers by Miami on Thursday after Atlanta designated him for assignment three days earlier. He has a slash line of .241/.313/.241 with three stolen bases, three runs scored and one RBI across 32 major-league plate appearances this season.
Claimed by Miami, sent to Triple-A

The Marlins claimed Wall off waivers from Atlanta on Thursday and optioned him to Triple-A Jacksonvile. The 28-year-old outfielder was DFA'd by Atlanta on Monday to help make room for Whit Merrifield and Nacho Alvarez. Wall will remain in Triple-A, where he's slashed .279/.380/.411 with 18 RBI through 231 plate appearances, though he reclaims a 40-man roster spot upon joining his new organization.
